As I walked up the stairs, arms full of camera gear, I caught a glimpse of the little one snuggling secure in her mother's arms.
I remembered again to cherish being allowed into these deeply intimate, lovely moments.
To work well, worthy of the trust I have been given.
To save these precious days for the baby who won't remember them,
so that she can see the love someday.
The miracle of life, so new, only five days in this world, never ceases to humble and amaze me.
Tiny, perfect, dependent, trusting.
Teaching us to become like a little child, to trust the greatest Love.
“Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.
Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands..."
This little life was wrought out of love.
This tiny person is living her first days surrounded by unconditional, ever growing love.
Life, my friends, is beautiful.
